MMA - MIXED MARTIAL ARTS CONDITIONING
A non contact full body, high intensity workout that incorporates a variety of MMA techniques using padwork, bag work and circuit training.
MMA TECHNIQUE
MMA is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, bringing together a wide variety of techniques and fighting styles (e.g. Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai)
Mixed marital arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and can be seen in such events as the UFC, UCMMA and BAMMA. Our mixed martial art class is a light contact workout with a partner learning skills and fight specific techniques that are used in MMA.
Developing mobility and flexibility you will learn techniques used by our professional fighters as well as getting in superb shape in a friendly environment.
LACTIC TRAINING
This is a high intensity non contact training that involves working out in a way that causes your body to produce lactate, helping to regulate your metabolism, burn fat and build muscle.
FEMALE ONLY BJJ - BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) is a grappling martial art that greatly levels the playing field when you are faced with a larger opponent.
In this class you will build your confidence, fitness and core strength.
This class is designed for beginners, breaking down the basics in a fun and friendly female only environment.
BJJ - BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU (Gi & NoGi)
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a Martial Art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting to control and resist your opponent.
The main difference between Gi and NoGi is the clothing. In Gi Jiu-Jitsu, opponents wear traditional clothing and are allowed to grab each other’s clothing and use it against them. NoGi Jiu-Jitsu is typically done while wearing athletic clothing, like a rash guard and shorts and opponents are not allowed to grab their opponent’s clothing.
Either way both are an excellent form of fitness developing stamina, flexibility, balance, coordination, and core stability. In addition at Freestyle MMA you will also develop confidence as well as meeting new people.
SUBMISSION WRESTLING
This class focuses on all the wrestling and grappling skills of MMA covering take downs, clinch work, ground control, submissions, submission defence and more.
Learn techniques as well as live submission wrestling rounds.
